Title: It is worth the additional cost!
Review: I had to resist a title of “this thing sucks” because it does! Of course, that is what it is supposed to do!! And it seals very well. Lots quicker and steadier than my older one (entry level vacuum packer). The increased duty cycle means that you can work this thing constantly for several hours and it just does not give up. Uses my old bags along with the new LEM branded bags without a problem. I will also add the canister vacuum accessory so I can vacuum seal stuff in mason jars as well. If you need a vacuum packer (and you do!0 this is a very good one.

Review: very high quality work great .Burnt out 3 foodsavers already but sure this one will out last any of them and you can get replacement parts and comes with extra heat strip and weld much wider seal than others.

Review: Butchered three deer and ran them through this machine. The heat tape lasted for all of it. Bonus is the extra heat tape part. Bag cutter is a bit hokey would be better if it ran through to the sealing part so it was a more efficient system. Works well though.
