Why Tiffany glass feels/sounds like plastic even though it is glass?

The glass pieces are welded together with tin solder. As a result, the glass will not vibrate and make a sound of glass when knocked with fingers. But you will hear the sound of glass when tapping with a metal piece, such as a fork.

Why is the stained glass color different between turning the light ON and OFF?

Stained glass is colored by adding metallic oxide powders while it is in a molten state. The colors are mixed together inside the glass pieces, so you will not see the true color if there is no light through the glass.

Why is the stained glass product coated with oil?

The stained glass pieces are welded together with tin solder; The oil will protect the solder and make the glass pieces look brighter. We use mineral oil as a part of the finishing process. Please use a soft dry cloth to remove any excess oil.

What kind of bulb fits my lamp?

For E26 socket, G45 bulb fits it; For E12 socket, C7 or T20 bulb has the perfect size. We recommend using LED bulb which is high efficiency low temperature.

Review: Update to my previous review:I emailed the company and this morning I had a response to my issue and they sent me detailed directions on trouble shooting.We did as instructed and the lamp is now working.I shall add that this lamp is amazing. The color of the shade is beautiful and I am in love with the Raven.It is so worth the expense.3 things.1- it’s a pain in the but to take this lamp out of the box and separate the packaging.2- after putting everything together, I was so excited only to realize the lamp didn’t work. None of the 3 light bulbs turn on.3- the Raven is cute. That one did work and turn on just fine.4- I tried trouble shooting switching to different outlet, trying different bulbs, but sadly nothing worked.5- my biggest disappointed came when I tried calling the customer service number listed, only to get a recording that is not that clear telling me to leave a message.I am not looking forward trying to put this lamp back in its box to send it back. I was so excited about it. You’d think that for such an expensive item, they’d do some quality control and make sure lamp worked before shipping. This is a true disappointment on everything with this purchase from the product itself, to the non existent customer service
