Our Story
Our story really began when we tried to share our love for the outdoors with our kids & realized how inadequate existing child carriers were for what we needed. We resolved to build a lightweight, portable child carrier that was surprisingly compact, but could fold-down. Something versatile & compact that helps extend the adventure without compromising comfort, safety or ease of use.

Title: Very well made!!
Review: This product is very well made and thought throw. Sadly for us it didn’t work my son has no trunk control and can’t sit in a chair by himself. I should have read that in the description but seemed to miss that. Still I would highly recommend this product for other families with special and additional needs.

Title: Great design on functional, trustworthy child carrier
Review: Freeloader is the best child carrier I have tried. With most carriers it seems there are some cheap components but not so with the Freeloader. I was also impressed with how quickly I received it from purchase. Easy to mount my kid, easy to get her out as well. Much better than toting a stroller in my car! Very comfortable to wear, allowed for longer distances than I could go before with her.

Title: Just what we needed!
Review: Great for what we needed! I’m 5’2″ and my 3 year old son is about 35 lbs. Easy for traveling and uncomplicated to use. It fits like my hiking pack which was a pleasant surprise and my son fell asleep on the first hike which is always a WIN!

Title: Great for bigger kids
Review: This product is really more ideal for bigger toddlers. Not for those that just started learning to balance. Unfortunately, there’s no minimum age requirement for that. The straps are really geared more for bigger kids. There aren’t enough cushions.

Title: Good idea, not product
Review: Well, it fills a gap in the market for kid carriers for when your kid outgrows all the other ones. But it’s not very good. The large side pockets would be perfect for a phone, however there’s big metal nuts sticking into the pocket that would easily shatter a phone screen if you bumped it while it’s in there, or hit it when trying to get the pack on or off.The drool guard just kinda falls off, needs something more to hold it on.Adjusting your kid into the pack is very awkward, but I could live with it.Here’s my biggest complaint though. The straps and buckles are garbage. You put the pack on and tighten up a strap and the buckles do not grab, it slips right back to where it was. My 4 year old is only 40ish pounds. It’s not like a crazy weight that is asking too much. So I’ve had to pull the straps tight while wearing it and then mark where was comfortable, take it back off with the kid, and tie knots on the strap so it would not pull immediately back through. It works, but there’s no Adjustments while hiking! Which is a big problem if you want to go any distance. The buckles on the shoulder straps extend past the padding as well, so they’ll dig in to your sides as well.Honestly, there needs to be a 2.0 version with a redesign, or just a different pack altogether.

Title: Unsafe
Review: I do not recommend this product. I bought it for my special needs grandson and it is downright unsafe. The carrier itself is awkward and hurts your back. To top it off this company charges you a 15% “restocking” fee which comes out to $46 . Plus it cost us $25 to have it shipped back.
