Title: Whoa… um… wow…
Review: I bought a different high end brand for my blasting my music outside as I’m converting it to my dream oasis. And honestly they were really good. But I have Def Tech speakers in my theater room so I decided to order these because I absolutely love how my theater sounds. And WHOA… um… wow…. As good as the previous speakers were these absolutely blow them out of the water! The clarity, the low end punch and how cranking loud they can get with absolute zero distortion, oh yeah, my neighbors are going to be happily hating me for years to come… 10 STARS!!!

Title: Great sounding outdoor speakers
Review: I bought these to replace an old set of Definitive outdoor speakers. The old set that were replaced were 5500’s. I also have a set of 6500’s and I wanted the new speakers to match with those. These 650s, in my opinion, actually sound better than the 6500’s. They have better bass by a decent margin, and sound a bit smoother overall. I had expected them to sound on par with the 6500s and I’m pleasantly surprised.

Title: New Version DT Outdoor Speakers – Replacing AW-6500
Review: These are the new version of the Definitive Tech outdoor speakers, replacing the AW-6500’s. New wrap-around grill look (removing the grill break between the front and rear speaker halves), sharper bottom corner, updated logo, and even better sound than the legacy AW-6500’s due to new/updated Definitive Tech speaker transducers. The trade off to the better sound is a little less efficiency, going from 92db on the 6500’s to 87db on the 650’s, so if you have a weak amp and your primary objective is overall loudness over sound quality you should give this some thought. I tried out comparable speakers in a head-to-head test from Klipsch and Polk, with the Definitives delivering more full-bodied and accurate sound at all levels, and better bass response from the passive radiator.
