Title: Great machine
Review: I love this machine. Very simple to use, all you do is press a button to select what you are making. It is a nice compact size as well so its footprints on your counter is small. Makes a quality cup of espresso as well! The machine is simple to clean.

Title: Awesome little espresso machine
Review: I’m a little spoiled because we already have a pretty solid prosumer espresso machine, but I wanted to set up another one in my studio. I’ve also tried a different brand/similar countertop style that’s $230, so these are the two machines I’m comparing this one to.– Espresso –It does a pretty good job of extracting a decent shot. The crema comes out richer than the cheaper machine though not as rich as the high end machine. I think the difference in overall richness is noticeable but it still makes a good cup of espresso. The portafilter is smaller than the standard 58mm—I believe this one is a 51mm, but it shouldn’t really affect the extraction too much. The biggest drawback is the steam wand. It’s fine for this machine, but that’s probably where I notice the largest difference between this and the high end machine. It has a single hole—some have up to four—and lower pressure and it dramatically affects the creaminess of the milk. I practiced with this wand a little bit and produced decent results, but it’s nothing like the other machine. You may not notice a difference if this is your first espresso machine. If I could change anything it would be the steam wand.– Machine –There’s a clear difference in material quality between this one and the less expensive one. It’s sturdier, better built, and doesn’t move around on the counter when you’re trying to get the portafilter in and out. It’s well-designed and doesn’t come off looking plasticky despite it being mostly plastic. It has a pretty small footprint and looks good on the counter. It’s easy to set up. You can get it up and running in 15 mins.Overall, this is a really great starter machine at a pretty reasonable price for a good cup of espresso. You’ll save so much money making better coffee at home. I will never go back. If you’re looking for an easy machine, I would seriously consider this one and not go any cheaper. The quality drops off a cliff with those cheaper machines. Plus this one makes cold brew and even brews pods. De’Longhi is also a pretty trusted brand. For a countertop machine, this one is does it all.

Title: A Little Powerhouse That Delivers Big Barista Energy
Review: Let me just start by saying: this espresso machine is ridiculously cute — but don’t let the looks fool you. The De’Longhi Dedica Duo isn’t just countertop eye candy… it’s a well-built, highly capable, compact powerhouse that turns any kitchen into a full-on café.We had our daughter-in-law, who’s an actual barista, put it through its paces first — and even she was impressed. That’s saying something. From the first pull, the espresso it produced was velvety-smooth with a creamy crema that honestly rivals many professional shop shots. The flavor extraction is rich and balanced, thanks to the machine’s 15-bar pressure system, which is the gold standard for real espresso.Ease of Use & DesignOne of the biggest wins here is how intuitive this machine is. The control panel is minimal and elegant, and the learning curve is pretty gentle even for non-baristas like us. The water tank is easy to fill and remove, the drip tray pops out for taller cups, and the whole setup doesn’t hog counter space. It’s slim enough to fit almost anywhere but solid enough to feel like you’re working with a serious machine — no rickety plastic parts here.Milk Frother Wand? Chef’s Kiss. The built-in milk frother wand works beautifully, giving us just the right amount of steam for silky lattes and frothy cappuccinos. It takes a little practice to get your swirl and stretch just right, but once you do, it’s incredibly satisfying. Our vacation crew was practically lining up in the morning for their “River-bucks” latte fix — and I honestly didn’t mind being the morning barista with this little beauty on hand.Cold Brew & TransportabilityThe cold brew option took a tiny bit of trial and error (mostly timing and grind adjustments), but once we got it dialed in, it became a summer staple. It’s refreshing and robust without bitterness. And because it’s so compact, we actually packed it along for a group trip — it traveled easily and made mornings on the go a dream.Final ThoughtsWhether you’re an aspiring home barista, a travel-loving latte lover, or just someone who wants damn good coffee with a side of style, this machine delivers. Yes, it’s a bit of an investment — but it pays off every single morning with café-quality results and zero drive-thru lines. Bonus points for looking like it belongs in a Wes Anderson film.

Title: Great beginner espresso machine
Review: This espresso machine from DeLonghi is akin to a gateway drug which leads you down an addictive path towards pulling the perfect shot. Starting off, you can purchase some pre-ground coffee from the supermarket and use the standard pressurized portafilter to make yourself a perfectly decent cup of espresso. However, with a few tweaks (and a lot of trial and error) you can end up with a cafe quality shot. That desire for more led me to purchase a stepless grinder, bottomless portafilter, calibrated tamper, the works… From there, it was about grind size, puck prep, and extraction time. Copious amounts of notes and adjustments later, I can say that this machine is capable of pulling a cafe quality shot of espresso full of rich crema. The pressurized portafilter has now been relegated strictly to cold brew purposes. But while the shots comes out excellent, the same can’t be said of this machines frothing capabilities. I read and watched reviews and came to the same conclusion: the steam wand lacks power. You will be holding your milk jug for awhile before you start to get a nice froth going. If making milk based drinks are a big deal for you, I would suggest you look elsewhere. For me personally, I have a very limited amount of counter space to spare for a coffee bar and this machines compact footprint saves the day. I love its simplicity and general ease of maintenance; I give it and the steam wand a quick wipedown and rinse the drip tray after each use and it stays looking brand new.

Review: The De’Longhi Dedica Duo Compact is a sleek, space-saving espresso machine that offers impressive versatility for its size. Its slim profile (just under 6 inches wide) makes it perfect for small kitchens, apartments, or anywhere counter space is limited. Despite its compact footprint, it delivers café-style espresso with a 15-bar pump and thermoblock heating system that heats up in under 30 seconds. The espresso it produces is rich and flavorful, with a thick crema that rivals what you’d expect from a more expensive machine. One of its standout features is the ability to brew both hot and cold espresso-based drinks. With dedicated controls for cold extraction, the Dedica Duo can prepare cold brew-style coffee in just a few minutes, making it ideal for summer beverages like iced lattes or americanos. The machine also includes a steam wand for frothing milk, allowing you to create cappuccinos and lattes at home. However, while the wand is adequate for casual use, it may not have the power or finesse some espresso enthusiasts expect for creating true microfoam. The design is modern and elegant, available in a few muted, pastel color options as well as stainless steel, and it includes dual handles—one for hot drinks and another for cold. The user interface is intuitive, with one-touch buttons for single or double espresso shots and a dial for steam or cold brew options. It comes with both pressurized filters for beginners and a non-pressurized basket for those who want more control over their grind and tamping. There are some minor drawbacks. Because the machine is so light, it tends to shift slightly when locking in the portafilter, especially if you’re using a firm tamp. Also, while the espresso quality is excellent, you’ll get the most out of it by pairing it with a good quality grinder. That said, for its price range, the Dedica Duo Compact offers exceptional value, making it a strong choice for both beginners and intermediate users who want style, functionality, and good espresso in a compact form. It is a lot more interesting than its parent, the dedica arte.

Review: The De’Longhi Dedica Duo Compact Espresso machine looks so professional and stylish in the kitchen, and its small footprint takes up very little counter space. While this machine can make espressos, double espressos, and cappuccinos and lattes thanks to the steam milk function (note however, it didn’t come with a milk frothing jug), what was most interesting to me was the cold brew / cold extraction technology – since I often have a jug brewing overnight in my fridge when my fridge has the space. Not having worked as a barista during my younger years, I really appreciated the detailed manual and the quick guide, both with images, which I reviewed completely. I started off by cleaning the machine (rinse cycle) and then trying different brew options. It’s been about a week, and these are my early observations so far:- The water heats up very quickly- The tamper is professional grade – but there’s a certain finesse to tampering that I have to gain experience with to be more consistent, because I noticed different tastes in my coffee between uses even though I was using the same coffee grounds. I may have to invest in a spring loaded tamper!- The espresso setting leaves a nice layer of crema on top- The cold brew tastes a little different than if I brew coffee in a cold brew maker over night, but the convenience of having this function is more important to me (and leaves me more room in my very full fridge)- It takes time to get the hang of frothing milk with the steamer wand, but I like the ability to make cappuccinos and lattes- I have been using the default water volume, but I may look to re-program this.- I have been reading and researching espresso making since getting this machine and it’s a new time-consuming hobby!!I like this machine a lot and having a machine like this can save money because I can have high quality coffee drinks without having to spend a fortune at a café. I will say though that I was surprised to come across some plastic parts, since we’re dealing with hot drinks. I think at this price point ($306.09 CAD at time of order), it is inevitable. It certainly has not deterred me from using this wonderful machine.

Review: I recently ordered this De’Longhi Dedica Duo Compact Espresso Machine and set it up this weekend for some testing with fresh medium roast beans I bought from a local roaster. So far, it’s working well and is a great addition to my kitchen. The machine is easy to use and has a sleek design that fits nicely on my counter. It heats up quickly in under 1 minute and can pull a shot of espresso in about 25-40 seconds if you prep it right. The built-in option for single and double shots makes it easy to prepare various drinks like an espresso martini or a latte. While the steam wand takes a bit longer than some other models, it effectively creates nicely textured velvety micofoam. I steamed some Oatly Barista Blend, which added the perfect nuttiness to my oat milk latte. To enhance my espresso-making skills, I’ve been watching YouTube videos and have invested in a quality conical burr grinder, a spring-loaded 51mm tamper, a WDT tool, a scale with auto timer, and a bottomless 51mm portafilter with an unpressurized basket. These upgrades have significantly improved the flavor of my espresso compared to the pressurized basket that came with the machine. I recommend reviewing these additions to anyone looking to elevate their shots.Overall, this is a compact machine that combines style and functionality, making it ideal for anyone wanting to enhance their coffee and espresso-making skills at home.

Review: This is an excellent espresso maker that delivers high end drinks at a much better bang-for-your-buck investment and in a super small and sleek profile. The whole thing is quite tiny compared to so many other espresso machines I’ve seen, so this one is ideal for small spaces/kitchens and people with limited counterspace for mini appliances. It takes up no room and makes espresso of a quality that more than makes up for its presence. The system is pretty simple overall, and it was easy for me to figure out the controls and what to do. It comes with some cool extra features and components, like the milk frothing nozzle which makes getting that perfect foam both easier and fun to do. It also has amazing temperature control, so it will get the water/coffee to the exact temperature you want and keep it stable so you don’t burn more delicate roasts, for instance, which is a serious game changer. It also has a professional tamper and cleaning needle, as well as some other accessories included. It also makes cold brew coffee in minutes. The cold brew setting takes a minute to get used to, but not having to wait overnight for a brew is pretty amazing. The temperature is always perfect to the settings, and the access to constant high-end cafe style coffee is game changing. I don’t want to drink anything else. Definitely recommend.

Review: Just a heads up before my review, this is my first foray into the world of espresso machines. I haven’t really tried making espresso myself from scratch before, and would say take a lot of the opinions I have with a grain of salt.I’ve been using this espresso maker for the past 3 weeks or so, and I think it’s been working great so far. There isn’t too much I don’t like about it (apart from how little space is between the bottom of the filter to the drip tray), and it just looks great on the counter. Here’s what I like about this machine:-It looks great-Easy to use (though is far more work than a k-cup)-Pretty compact-Easy to fill-Temperature is adjustable-Removable drip tray-Easy to clean (besides the portafilters, which can be somewhat of a pain). Everything comes apart. And here’s what I don’t like about it:-It’s pretty hard to disassemble and clean the portafilters-The cleaning needle feels pretty cheap (and the scoop)-You have a pretty limited space underneath the portafilter, especially if you want to make cold brews (the space is roughly 4.5 inches from the bottom of the portafilter to the drip tray)I think the largest design oversight is the space between the portafilter and the bottom of the machine. I can’t fit most of my glasses between the two, and if I want to make a cold brew coffee (which would be my main use case for this machine), I just can’t do it without removing the bottom overfill tray. It just kind of sucks that I’m forced to use specific cups. Here I’d generally talk about price, however I don’t really know the price of good espresso makers. I’ll just say that I would recommend it, especially if you like both espresso and cold brews. I do enjoy it, though I find myself not using it as much as a Keurig just simply because I don’t have the time to.
