BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS – The new ELAC Debut 3.0 series redefines what’s possible in the realm of affordable audio, proving that exceptional style and legendary sound are within reach for all enthusiasts.
ALUMINUM DOME TWEETER – The tweeter accurately reproduces high frequencies with clarity & detail for a more precise, immersive experience. The newly designed wave-guide & phase-plug allow for a wider dispersion pattern, ensuring consistent sound.
WOVEN ARAMID-FIBER WOOFER – The aramid cone material offers even greater stiffness and damping, far superior to polypropylene or paper. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response.
INTERNAL BRACING – The internal speaker bracing significantly enhances performance. It reduces unwanted vibrations that can distort sound & ensures sound is primarily emitted from the speaker drivers (the woofer & tweeter) rather than the cabinet.
LUXURIOUS – Magnetically attached grilles offer a clean, hardware-free look that easily integrates into any home audio setup. The overall aesthetic is further refined with a sleek cabinet finish, contributing to its modern, elegant appearance.
EASY TO DRIVE – Debut 3.0 speakers require less power from an amplifier to achieve the same volume level as lower impedance speakers, making them more efficient and compatible with a wider range of amplifiers.

Title: Elac Debut 3.0 DB53 excellent bookshelf speakers
Review: The ELAC debut 3.0 DB53 are excellent bookshelf speakers for the price. After trying out different speakers (various eEdifiers, polk es15, ) I finally settled on the Elacs. These speakers started off a bit relaxed/neutral almost thin sounding, but after about a week they have really opened up and are extremely musical. I use these strictly for music and the clarity and detail is great, the bass is tight and pronounced, not overly boomy. At just a smidge over 12 inches in height they fit nicely on a credenza without looking overly big. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for high quality sound at a budget price

Title: Best speakers under $500
Review: Edit update: I tried the db53’s and I didn’t end up keeping them, I like the 63’s better. Just my taste, some people will like the 53’s better, like I said, cheapaudioman being one. Also I tried the q acoustics 5020’s, and really didn’t get what was so special about them, I sent those back as well, I like the 63’s better. However I will add lastly, I now use these 63’s as surrounds to my front setup which is the HECO Aurora 300’s and the Aurora 30 center channel, I really ended up liking those, just a bit more than the db63’s which was the first speaker I’ve tried thus far that I can say that about. Only thing is they are not sold in the U.S. anymore aside from the center and the floorspeaker models. I got mine used from someone. But the elacs have quite a similar tonality, which lets them work as surrounds very well.So those actually might be the best budget speaker if they still sold them. And tbh they’re floor standing speakers definitely best out the Elac floorspeaker DF63 model. So if you’re looking for possibly the best budget floor speaker setup I’d recommend the Heco aurora over the elacs for sure. But if you need some good sounding surrounds and can’t find any used aurora 300’s I’d get the DB63’s for that.Otherwise the DB63’s are still awesome picks, and I can sometimes even like more than the hecos at times, they’re a bit more neutral where as the hecos are quite warm and really bring out the baritone in male vocals in a way that not many budget speakers can.My two favorite budget lines for sure thus far.Original review:Since there’s 4 different speakers here under the same umbrella of reviews let me say I’m strictly talking about the DB63’s here, which I can say confidently are definitely the better speaker for my ears than the 2.0 and the original Debut speaker both of which I’ve had.And most the reviews here are for the 2.0’s.these are Easily one of the best pairs of speakers you can get under $500 if not the best.I will say these do need some break in like most speakers, about 40+ hours really to get them right and the more they break in the better. And I haven’t even got them fully broken in yet. Also I can say I’ve had the Klipsch RP-600m II’s to compare, and to me these DB63’s are night and day better. I sent those 600’s back asap. I those sounded like dog ass compared to these to me lol.And here’s what some audiophile YouTube channels have to say about these…Cheap audio man on YouTube says these are tied for his pick for best speaker under $500 with the Emotiva xb2, which they both are sort of opposite ends of the spectrum with these having that better deeper bass and slightly warmer midrange and the XB2’s having that more lively top end. Also He mentioned that he actually liked the DB53’s better than the 63’s, like the midrange he said is more detailed on the 5.25 inch version, minus having less bass but with a sub that shouldn’t matter too much at all.So I will be trying those out as well and maybe sending a pair of the 63’s back if that’s the case and will update when I do.Or from Andrew Robinson who mentions these all the time for his go to recommendation for budget bookshelf speakers.(Btw his testing of these speakers in his video rendered incredibly neutral, more than some others that tested these but still it’s his anecdote in his room)Or There’s a great video from Hunter Gray LUV Music, comparing these to $1600 speakers like the KEF LS50 META’s, the Martin Logan XT B100’s, the Klipsch RP-600m II’s, and the Q acoustic 5020’sAnd he says these DB63’s have 90% of the performance of the KEFs and the Logan’s at 28% of the cost. And even have some aspects that sound better like the richer midrange that’s especially nice for less acoustically treated rooms. And he said he flat out likes these better than the q acoustic 5020’s which are $999 a pair. And definitely more than the RP-600 m II’s which again I fully can back given I’ve had those and sent them back. Also Erins audio corner did some tests I recommend watching his review of these if you want to get some possibly valuable info on how he EQd these to better neutralize the tone, which I included to screenshots from his video showing basically what he did at the 550 hz and 650hz and 3300 hz on his EQ software. Me personally I don’t have that ability to adjust any hz level with my denon receiver only a few options, but I don’t even use tone controls anyway because I find using MultEQ from audyssey toggled on gets me better sound than any tone controls I’ve messed with anyway, also flipping dynamic EQ on for music and then off for videos/ podcasts really helps bring out the best sounds for music in my simple setup. If dynamic EQ is on for YouTube vids/podcasts It can sometimes make the already usually lower quality voice recordings sound distorted and not so clean..that’s just my experience, and my only complaint really is that for YouTube vids and pods these sometimes don’t sound excellent, but that’s a lot of the time the crappy recordings fault not the speakers lol, but not always.but for music these sound impeccable to me.So do what you will with that info, try them if you want send them back if you want cause Amazon primes awesome for that and so easy.

Title: Super Happy!
Review: Was looking for some bookshelf speakers that were under $1000 that would be a good fit for my modest Yamaha AS501 stereo amp, Yamaha CD S-303 player and Fluance RT85 deck. I started noticing rave reviews for the Elac Debut 3.0 DB63 speakers on YouTube a couple of months ago, but wasn’t very familiar with the Elac brand. I’ve owned speakers by Infinity, Polk and Klipsch in the past, and while at the time they all seemed pretty decent, I became tired or bored of them after a couple of years for one reason or another.I have pretty broad musical tastes ranging from jazz, classical, rock, ambient and electronic, so I guess I’m probably a little more critical of speaker performance, although I really don’t consider myself an audiophile but wanted something to deliver believable music reproduction. So when I saw a wide range of YouTuber reviews rave about the accuracy and neutrality of these speakers that could produce shimmering highs and impressive, tight bass I was intrigued, but also a bit skeptical of the hype. A couple of reviewers mentioned that these speakers sounded as good or better than speakers twice or three times the price.I resisted pulling the trigger until after the holidays, partly to see what kind of budget I had left over, and also to evaluate whether they were going to be a good match for my needs. I figured the $450/pair price point was a pretty low risk and if they didn’t perform to my liking, I could still return them.Well, I have to say I’m pleasantly shocked at the performance of the Elacs. They delivered in spades! Full disclosure, I mounted the speakers on a pair of Monoprice easel speaker stands that brought the Elacs to ear level and followed their general guidelines for optimal speaker placement. Yowzers! These things were incredibly impressive in every way. The highs were well balanced, yet detailed without fatiguing. Midrange was melodic and accurate while the bass was authoritative and punchy, but not sloppy or boomy. Surprisingly, you can crank these puppies without them breaking up; remarkable considering their size. I think the rear porting of the speaker helps deliver the low end and the weird silver phase plug over the tweeter and intersecting wave guide helps keep the brightness of the aluminum dome construction in check while dispersing the highs more realistically. Some music observations:Chris Isaak – Wicked Game:The acoustic instruments, subtle drums and vocals sound totally believable with impressive sound stage and subtle “air”. Isaak’s vocals are spectacular with beautiful low growl and attention-grabbing falsettos being in center while the slide guitar riffs drift across the room as if it was carried by a breeze. Beautiful and haunting reproduction, revealing details and nuances I hadn’t heard before.GoGo Penguin:This avant garde nu-jazz trio’s self titled album is an exploration in acoustic sounds highlighting piano, drums and upright bass. The recording has a very “live” feel to it and through the Elacs, the trio sound like they’re in the room with you. The hypnotic staccato piano passages have a natural, subtle resonance and space that reflects the place it was recorded. Drums sound tight and and at times explosive without distorting. Kick drum delivers punch and authority while cymbals sound crisp with wide dispersion. The upright bass pumps the rhythms with authority while capturing the squeak of the fingers as they slide on the strings. Mesmerizing delivery and wonderful sound stage showing exact placement of instruments in the room. The Elacs really elevate the whole presentation that borders on astonishing.Fritz Reiner – Richard Strauss: Also Sprach Zarathustra:This RCA Red Seal recording is my go to demonstration record for its incredible dynamic range, explosive percussion, bold brass/woodwinds and soaring strings. Acoustic / classical music can reveal how well a speaker can accurately deliver conventional instruments and the Elacs give the perfect concert hall presentation where other speakers would often fall short. The Elacs exceeded my expectations and has actually surprised me by revealing musical details that my other speakers couldn’t deliver. If you’re a fan of EDM or hip hop, you might want to supplement with a sub, but for most listeners, I really don’t think you need one.In summary, I think these speakers are incredible at this price and would easily recommend to anyone who appreciates exceptional music reproduction at a very reasonable price.

Title: Superb Clean Sounding Standmount Soeakers!
Review: Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are my first pair of Elac speakers. I am in a profession that requires that I high quality sound in music and speech. In only three days of listening, I have to admit these speakers are performing far above my expectations! The clarity, soundstage and instrument separation is bananas! And I am a believer in substantial burn-in, which make these speakers even more phenomenal to my ears. They are clearly the best passive standmounts (bookshelf) speakers I have ever heard. I can’t wait to hear what burn-in reveals. I have them connected to the phenomenal Yamaha RN20002A. These speakers love an amp (integrated amp) with generous amounts of power. I am coming from the standpoint of an audiophile who enjoys various speakers’ sound signatures. Focal, Dali, Q Acoustics, and my 25-year-old pair of Nautilus 804s are the other speakers I enjoy (all floorstanding except these Elacs). More thoughts to come as I burn these in. – Malik6Feet

Review: Not quite as good as the debut 2.0 floorstanders over all as these gave a fuller sound but that’s to be expected. I had to downsize and decided on these newer 3.0 set. These do look more modern and the sound is still very good for the price. A nice upgrade from the 2.0 is the magnetic covers! I would certainly recommend them
