Title: Amazing sport’s smartwatvh and a great dive computer
Review: I’m going to the gym 3-4 times a week, pool swimming once a week, and occasionally do some recreational diving and hiking. The great thing a find about this watch is that it supports all of my activities in a great way, and they do not feel like an after thought!Day to day:It can track jogging and running in a pretty accurate way. It also contains different running plans that you can follow that i find refreshing. When weight lifting, it tracks the reps and can even guess what exercise is being preformed (this on is about 70% accurate). During hiking it can track your position using GPS, and show you some sort of map (Doesn’t have any details beside a line that shows you your own rout) which i find great. The display for everything is good and informative, and it can be customized to your liking in most cases. The app integration is great, and it shows all the data you would probably expect from a high tier smartwatch these days including sleep tracking, calories counter, steps counter, HR analysis etc (You can also view most of this stuff on the watch itself).Recreational diving:This little guy is great, and the only real downside i can find is the lack of Air integration but due to the price, i guess its understandable.Had 13 dives with this guys so far, and so far so good. The screen is informative and on point. It has built in features like a compass, temperature, TTS, Customable warnings (Max depth etc), Safety stop auto timer, Entry and exist points coordination etc.Now this guy is small. Its size is of a normal casio watch, and i know some divers have issue with that but for me it works great. Had no issue viewing all the info even at 25 meters depth. The diving part has a specific app of its own and its fine. Nothing special bout it. I just wish it had a way of integrating easly with SSI & PADI apps, since i track all of my dives there (SSI in may case), and like transporting dives from one app to the other would make my life a bit easier =)

Title: Everything I wanted in a watch
Review: My battery lasts approximately 21 days; however if you use any GPS features or log activities then your battery life will drain faster. This watch and the app are incredibly user friendly and I have had no issues.I haven’t taken this on any deep dives but I will attest to it’s durability in the shallow dives I’ve been on and also it’s tolerance to bleach. I work at an aquaculture job where I regularly handle bleach and have thankfully never experienced any issues. Perfect watch for water sports as I can also log any kayaking or SUP trips I take; however, I do have trouble logging rock climbing activities with the watch. It logs my sleep with relative accuracy, sometimes when I am laying in bed scrolling on my phone it believes that I am lightly sleeping but I didn’t purchase the watch for 100% accurate sleep cycle measurements.

Title: G1 for the win!
Review: I took G1 on its first dive end of July 2024. It was everything I expected and more. Will jump into dive mode on its own as soon as you start to descend, but if you place it in dive mode before you jump in, the GPS will track your first dive (tracks the other dives automatically).Really happy with this watch. Tracks my sleep, my steps, my other activities.Cons: no color screen, the upper buttons can sometimes be activated by your bent wrist, but there is a lock feature. I REALLY do not love the Garmin app.I purchased an off-brand strap for comfort and screen protector for safety (I’ve seen some shop computers!!)If you’re looking for a good priced computer, I’d recommend the G1. Also, don’t waste your extra $$ on the solar version.

Title: Defective Watch
Review: Nothing to do with Garmin- purchased this watch on Amazon and received a pre-opened box–finger prints on watch face. (Ultimately did not care as long as the watch worked). Long story short, watch would not turn on. Began watch-return process through GPS Tech (the seller) but prior to sending back, decided to call Garmin to ensure there was nothing else I could do to make it work. They informed me that the product was registered to a different customer that must have returned the product to GPS Tech… which was then re-sold to me. Garmin apologized for my experience, offered to pay for return shipping directly to them and sent out a new watch with 2 day shipping, that day. Very well could have been an honest mistake on GPS Tech’s part but when you spend $500+ on a watch, you expect it to work when received.

Title: First dive watch
Review: Relatively new diver, less than 100 dives. Really happy with the watch. The size is great and it’s very user friendly. I like that it can be a smart watch if I want it to be- and it is nice for free diving too.

Review: As a dive computer, it’s not intuitive and the display is very difficult to read. If you’re looking for a budget version of a Teric, this isn’t it.I mainly bought it as a watch, that I could use as a backup dive computer. I just found it overly complex to set up (requiring two separate apps to do so). I think they’re just trying to do too much in one device and as a result, it sort of drops in general.Even just using it as a watch was a big fail. There is just too much going on. And yes there are multiple faces including a basic analog face, but it was so course it looks like the code was written in Fortran. So it’s also a poor substitute for an iWatch.Anyway, if you want an (literally) all in one device, and assuming you have really good eyes, you might love it. I suspect it’s a solid, rugged device that would stand up well. I own other Garmin devices for my boat and I love them. I didn’t love this one.Return in progress.
