Effective red and near infrared light therapy requires very specific wavelengths of light, specifically 660 nanometers which is red light and 850 nanometers which is near infrared light. Over 3,000 published studies have shown these two specific wavelengths to have the greatest biological impact on the cells of the human body. Red light is best for superficial skin treatments, as it does not have the ability to penetrate quite as deeply as near infrared light. Near infrared light is best for treating deep tissues such as joints, muscles, and even the brain, because of its ability to penetrate deeper into the human body.

Title: This unit is portable.
Review: I just received this unit and I’ve only used it three days so I can’t comment on its effectiveness. Possibly in a few months I could rate this unit better. The unit itself is a very well-constructed unit. It is easy to use. The heat level is very good. It is warm but not hot that it would burn the skin. The cost of this unit is a good price. The color is bright. I am excited to try it and if I see good results, I plan on purchasing the panel unit that covers more of the body.

Review: Don’t try to save money buying a cheap RLT light. It’s BS. I tried. But this one is the real deal. You feel the NIR heat from this like your supposed to. It’s solid build quality.So if you tried a cheap RLT/NIR light in the past and didn’t get any effects then at least try this one.From my research this seems to be the best bang for the buck!

Title: Biggest Bang for the Buck!
Review: As often happens, YouTube made a recommendation to me based on my past searches. Latest for a video by a Retina Specialist on Red Light Therapy (RLT) and Eye Health. My wife and I have watched several by him and thought highly of his presentations.I have cataracts and will need cataract operations at some point. On top of that, I have eye Floaters bad enough that I am considering an operation to fix them. Going on give years, both eyes, always present in my vision. However, either type of Floater operation – sticking needles in my eyes and sucking out the original fluid and replacing it with synthetic; or letting some doctor play laser tag inside my eyeballs zapping the Floaters – freaks me out and fills my head with terrible outcomes, I am open to alternatives. Along this line, my local Opthamologist recommended some $70 a bottle vitamins, which over 5 months have given me zero improvement for my $210.Therefore I was all eyes and ears to learn that RLT has been a thing for at least 5 years for all sorts of ailments, and has lately been effectively used for eye health. So, in my typical Sherlock fashion, I watched about another hundred videos including reviews, and read about 2 dozen articles and studies over a two week period.Once I decided that I was definitely going to give RLT a chance to help my eyes, I determined that the Hooga Pro300 was exactly the right array of lights and Light Frequencies for me. Aside from my eyes, I have no objections to letting it clear up my skin imperfections, age spots, wrinkles, sore back, insomnia, grumpiness, and anxiety. In all honesty I will say that I could find only one study that measured the effect on Floaters. HOWEVER, while reading the hundreds of reviews, I did find a couple dozen testimonies that RLT did in fact help some people with their Floaters! Good enough for me. And for less than $300, a worthwhile risk.So, I got the Hooga Pro300 five days ago. I use it daily for 15 minutes in the AM, and 10 minutes in the PM. I have it set on a bathroom counter that is waste level. I get buck naked, and rotate my torso in front of it for 10 minutes (3-2-2-3), then sit on the toilet seat, and give my eyes 3 minutes – half time opened, half time closed but facing it – and then bend my head forward and let shine on the top of my head for the last 2 minutes. I am not bald, but my hair is thinning badly, and read it has helped stimulate hair growth. In the evening, each torso side gets 2 minutes, my eyes 1 mi ute, and the top of my head 1 minute.Okay, so after 5 days here is what I can honestly say.I dig it! The easiest improvement to verify is my skin. It has gotten clearer and smoother. My back pains have lessened. I have slept like a rock each night after use. I think I am more chilled out, although this could be because my wife has been away since the day I got it on a family visit. And, while I still have the Floaters, maybe it’s in my head, but they seem less obtrusive. For only five days of use, I am truly shocked at how quickly I seem to be getting benefits.I am hooked, and plan to use this Light daily if able. So while my improvements have so far been minor, I am excited to think what they may be by Summer’s end. I’ll have to do a September update then.Sorry for the novelette but as I age, I have learned that people want health solutions that both work, and are affordable. So from my perspective, I say Ante Up folks.

Title: This light therapy works wonders!
Review: I bought this to Tamp down pain and improve range of motion for my shoulders. After only 3 treatments of 5 minutes each, I sleep better and can perform daily activities with less pain and much improved range of motion. Typically the benefits show up a day after treatment because it seems that the activated cells need time to calm down to then, promote healing. Many articles say near red/infrared light increases facial collagen production and hair growth for the scalp so I look forward to testing those pronouncements soon.

Review: Very solidly built, obviously a piece of medical equipment. Can’t speak to the results yet. Looking to improve some red patches on my arms and improve hair growth. May also use on some aches and pains. A little awkward to use on legs since they’re longer than the machine. The directions are good but seem to be generalizations rather than specifics. Overall summary is good though – use three times per week, no more than twice in a day. Don’t over-do it. Either too little or too much will reduce effectiveness. Five or six minutes for skin-related problems, ten minutes for deeper aches. It’s ok to use both red and infrared consistently. Or you can use red for skin problems and infrared for deeper pains. Will update with any problems.

Review: I am easily swayed to try the next trend, cold showers, intermittent fasting, now red light therapy and out of the three I listed this is the only one that I think it would be hard to live without now.That warm bright glow every morning is like a dose of morning sunlight. That not only feels great physically but emotionally sets you for success for the rest of your day. The side benefit is that my skin is smoother than when I was in my 20s. Looking to eventually upgrade to a full body height device at some point.

Review: It is very sturdy and well made. 3 year warranty is great. It’s not the most esthetic thing to have standing at my makeup table but bang for buck its much better than a red light mask cause it can be used for multiple things (muscles, fight hair loss, face and neck rejuvenation, ligament healing). The fan is very loud when it’s going but that just speaks to the power. Per light bulb I think it’s the cheapest warrantied FDA approved red light therapy machine of this size that you can find.
