Title: Strong and Stylish
Review: The material is that of the compact sawdust boards, I don’t remember what kind of wood that is called. But the thickness of the wood was great! Made the little box super sturdy and hold up for what I was using it. The wood is super soft, I was originally thinking of painting it, but with the softness I haven’t bothered to, especially since the color was almost identical to what I wanted. My use for this box was to flip it on it’s side and make a wine bar box that hid the boxed wine I was using. This ended up functioning perfectly for what I needed, it’s storage capacity is a little more than three boxes of Franzia wine.

Title: Multipurpose storage boces
Review: Great storage boxes. Easy to put together and sturdy. My son uses them as storage boxes and display boxes. Stack 6 together and they make a nice bookcase. Lots of uses for these boxes. The handles make them easy to move.

Title: Nice for the price
Review: The tote box took about 5 minutes to assemble with the use of a power screwdriver. The components are made out of lightweight paper sourced “wood”. The sections had good rigidity and everything matched up perfectly. The stain is a nice warm tone though it trends to the lighter side of the color saturation level. Time will tell if this material is up to the challenge of repeated use or not. I am using mine to elevate a pair of Sony SSCS3 speakers from the floor. They way about 21 lbs. and so far the crates seem capable of handling that weight. So, satisfied? Yes. Anything stand out as a problem? Well, yes. The components that combine to create the tote smelled very strongly of the chemicals used in the stain. Took two days for them to air out. Hint, when assembling don’t tighten the screws all the way. Just enough to marry the pieces but still able to pull them apart with a few twists of the screwdriver.Recommended, but a little pricey. Shouldn’t cost more that $15.

Title: Kirigen products are my favorite!
Review: I have a bunch of stuff from this company and really like the quality and look. This time I painted some of the panels before assembling and am happy with how it turned out. The wood takes paint or stain very well. I got the natural finish, by the way. The wood Kirigen uses is somewhere between balsa wood and pine as far as density goes, yet it’s still pretty sturdy. I just wouldn’t use their stuff in an area that’s going to take a major beating. I feel comfortable putting these in my son’s room for toy storage though, if that gives you any idea of my confidence. The nice thing about the light-weight wood is that it, well, weighs less.Problems: There was one small flaw on one panel, not sure what it was, looked like some grey caulking but it was really small and I probably only noticed because I was getting so personal with these things. Also, the felt stickers were too big. The bottom panel is inset a little bit and the edge only has space for a 1/4″ felt stickers but the ones they give you are 1/2″ so you either cut a wedge out or fold them down a bit.Assembly is zero problem, I don’t know what people are complaining about. Can you insert 12 screws? Then you can slap these together in five minutes each.

Title: Great for my do-it-yourself closet organization
Review: I was careful to measure my space and found these boxes would fit perfectly, on their side, three in a row, on my existing shelf. The assembly was much easier than I feared (though the instructions were pretty useless, and there were many extra screws and other doo-dads I did not need). I was able to put all three boxes together with a Phillips screwdriver (had to supply my own screw-driver) in less than an hour. The boxes are certainly not strong enough to sit on or hold anything heavy, but great for my purposes (shirt and scarf organization). Very pleased with the result!

Title: Get rid of the intense VOC smell with wood soap
Review: The wood stain smell was overpowering when I unwrapped it. After assembling outdoors and letting it sit there for 2 days, it still reeked so I finally washed the box with wood soap. In the process, saw that there was a crack in one corner that must have occurred putting the screws in. I think in another day or so I can bring it inside and actually put things in the crate. It looks fairly nice and seems reasonably sturdy for light items, but given the high price and the hassle, would never buy again.
