Title: good product
Review: I’ve owned mine now for about two weeks. It makes a very nice, fine, rich soil from your kitchen waste. The unit is very soft, about the same as a modern dishwasher, just an even low hum. But most of the time it is entirely quiet because you only run it when its bucket is full of kitchen waste, maybe a couple of times a week. You can run it at night and never hear it. It’s easy to use – just plug it in, press the main button twice since the default setting works great, and you’re done.

Title: A very overpriced food processor. Where’s the dirt?
Review: What can I say? This thing is bigger than expected and it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. I followed the directions and ran it in grow mode (because I want to produce my own soil for my garden) and after the 15-20 hours it only produces…… Chopped up food. My food processor could have done the same thing in 30 seconds. I have a message out to customer service but I will likely be returning this.

Review: This is an excellent addition to my kitchen!Pros:- It has really helped me feel better about reducing food waste and handling food scraps more easily.- I love that the compost stays dry, which makes it super simple to manage.- Even when old food goes in, there’s no odor at all.- It’s pretty quiet— I can’t hear it from the bedroom, but if you’re nearby, you might need to turn up the TV.Cons:- While it’s processing, there is a mild smell, which can be a bit noticeable in small spaces like apartments. I didn’t notice this much until recently, as I usually run it in the evenings.User-Friendly:- It is SO easy. I just press the button and it goes for a few hours depending on what the compost needs.- Do NOT interrupt the cycle, because you cannot restart it from where it left off.Overall: The process is seamless, and I feel great knowing I’m reducing my environmental footprint. This review is a 4 star only because of the mild smell and the size of the product (it requires counter space consideration).

Title: A HUGE HOUSE HOLD ADD – Worth every penny
Review: I have tried to do composting for almost 2 years now, every single try have failed in every possible way. I saw a video of this on Isntagram and went to give it a try and I cannot be happier. Everything you put in there (make sure it’s on the list of stuff you can) is well processed and without any smell issues. I have it on my kitchen next to the counter so I just put what I scrap there and at the end of the day put it on eco mode.Eco mode is so cheap, the light bill only increased around $1.25 a month and it does the same job as the other modes. Also, important to mention that if you see that something is not well processed in Eco mode, just put some new stuff in and put run it again, doesn’t cause any issues.The auto cleaning mode is amazing, just add water and it takes care of itself.If you life in the middle of the city of a town in where you cannot have a compost thing far from your house where the smell will get you, this is the best possible device for you.

Title: Great machine
Review: Very happy with it so far. We are only using the “grow” cycle so far, so we can use it in our garden. That cycle doesn’t get as hot, though, so we did have to add extra enzymes and also run it through a second time to get the desired output. In fairness, I put cantaloupe rind and pineapple peel in there, along with celery and some thin mandarin orange peels; everything was in small pieces, but still pretty tough stuff. Going forward, I think I’ll skip the pineapple peel for the garden and maybe save that for the higher temp cycle. Excellent, user-friendly machine and directions. I have it in a little cubby off the kitchen, so we don’t even hear it running; it’s pretty quiet, though, anyway. The “grow” cycle takes a long time…about 16-20 hours. The hotter cycles are much faster. It just depends on how you want to use the output.

Review: It’s pretty cool how this thing turns your food waste into dirt. So far I’ve put grapefruit skins, banana peels, avocado skins, egg shells, coffee grounds and potato peelings into it and it turns everything to dirt that I sprinkle in my garden boxes. It will be interesting to see how my plants do this year.

Review: THIS unit works beautifully! this is our second Lomi – first one, purchased directly from the company, was noisy emitted a smell when it was running a cycle – we chocked it up to just what the unit was supposed to do – unfortunately, it broke down just about a year after purchase. THIS NEW UNIT works beautifully! No smell, no sound! Amazing! we must have had a bad first unit – I’ll shout it from the roof-tops this Lomi is GREAT! Love it!
