Review: I purchased the Mockins 60”x24”x6” Weatherproof Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier with the 25 Cu.Ft. Waterproof Cargo Bag, and I’m thrilled with it! The carrier is exceptionally well-made, sturdy, and easy to install. It handles the 500 lbs. capacity perfectly and has performed flawlessly on my trips so far. The waterproof cargo bag is spacious and keeps everything protected.I did notice a small hole in the accessory bag upon arrival, but the customer service team was outstanding—prompt, responsive, and resolved the issue immediately. Their excellent support turned a minor hiccup into a seamless experience.This product is a game-changer for road trips, and the customer service is unmatched. Review: I did a bunch of research and looked at a variety of cargo carriers- roof mounted, hitch mounted, etc. I also scrutinized the closest comparable products from Oklead and others. The reason I selected the Mockins hitch mounted cargo carrier is because it offered the best value on paper. It included the well advertised accessories like straps, hitch stabilizer, waterproof cargo bag. It all works great. Pretty easy to assemble, though an extra set of arms would be best to attach to hitch. Super sturdy, easy drive and I tested the drive on back roads and highways. Secures well. Terrific package.One disclaimer unrelated to this product- I added an after market Curt hitch mount to my Equinox and it does ride lower to the ground than I’d like. So those speed bumps at campgrounds knocked the bottom of the hitch while driving to my site.Still, the Mockins hitch mount Cargo Carrier works really well for. Allowed for additional cargo, opened up space in the car and I felt confidence driving with the new ingredient.Perhaps the best part of this transaction was Ingrid from Mockins customer support. Had a little mix up with a part. She was incredibly accessible, responsive and communicative. And the small problem I encountered was solved. She should get a raise because it’s hard to find user friendly support like she offered. She was personable and worked with urgency. Like my problem mattered to her. Love that.I love this product and company. I’ll buy more from them based on my experience with the quality of the product I purchase and the after hours support I needed.

Title: Mockins has excellent customer service
Review: I purchased this carrier for a trip from Massachusetts to NC, then to Orlando. I needed the carrier on the NC to Orlando leg, so I had Amazon deliver to NC. It arrived four days before my arrival. The box was somewhat damaged, re-taped, and upon my brother opening, he discovered that it had already been opened and missing parts. There was still a return slip in the box from when it had been sent back by another customer. Amazon sent a new product, but it may not have arrived before I needed it, and I would have had to figure out how to return it between all of the driving I had to do. Without asking, Mockins customer service emailed me to call them. They were very apologetic and tried their best to get me replacement parts asap. They refunded me the entire cost of the item and told me not to return it, and to keep and use the replacement if it arrived in time. The replacement arrived just hours before me, and after a 2 hr. Nap, I assembled and installed the replacement and we were back on the road with my mother’s wheelchair and walker safely strapped to the carrier.The carrier was easy to assemble (not using the supplied wrench – its pretty useless) and attach to the receiver. I like the supplied U bracket to keep it secure. It is fairly sturdy, although some of the welds seem questionable to me, but were not an issue. I did not use the locking hitch pin only because of a previous issue with that type, I stayed with my standard pin. I used the carrier to load a wheelchair and walker using Rhino ratchet straps, and it worked perfectly. The carrier was easy to fold up and is pretty solid in that position.Overall this product served my needs, and worked as advertised. I was very impressed with the level of customer service I received from the manufacturer, and appreciate their quick resolution. I would feel confident that I anyone had an issue with this product, they would be responsive.Shame on Amazon though for sending a returned item as new.

Review: We bought the product to carry our second set of tires across Canada (moved from Toronto to Vancouver). Here is what I can tell you about our experience:- Absolutely ZERO installation instructions (but we used our brains to figure it out)- It fit both all 4 tires, stacked 2 on top of each other, and kitty corner (SUV tires). The basket is in “extended” mode in this picture- Also had room to put our gas can on top (can’t see in photo because it’s on the other side)- We did not use the cargo bag as it’s not very big (barely fit 2 tires)- It held VERY well; BUT we were careful to ensure the cross bars were centered under the wheels to ensure the load was properly distributed, and we used strong Thule crossbars as I am pretty sure we were pushing or over the verified weight limit. We also ensured the four basket “feet” that connect the basket to the cross bars was as close to the car’s side rails as possible to properly distribute the load away from the centre to ensure the cross bars didn’t bend in the middle. We also used 3 straps (not the ones provided in the package, but our own straps) to let the tires down, and we wrapped those straps around the car side rails, not the Thule cross bars or the basket itself.- We would HIGHLY suggest buying a rust proofing spray before use. After the 4 day, 4300km drive in late December, a few if the screws has already developed rust- After use, I took it off, washed it, and used a microfiber towels to dry it in order to prevent rust- The feet mechanism that hold the basket to the cross bars are pretty crappy… You get what you pay for here. The crappy feet mechanism would make this basket EXTREMELY annoying to take on and off repeatedly- The frame itself is strong enough and the welds look solidOverall, for what we need it for, it did an amazing job. Installation was a pain but we made it work. The cargo bag looks solid and I’m sure we’ll use it in the future for camping, etc. I have it 4 stars because of the assembly and the feet mechanism. But it got 5 stars for me on value.Hope this was helpful for other shoppers!
