Title: 2 yr old loved it
Review: Bought the piggyback for a vacation that was going to have narrow, crowded roads that were not stroller friendly. He loved it. The first thing he would do upon waking up was beeline to the harness and start putting it on, saying “daddy, horsey!”I put in many miles of urban walking with a 30 pounder and didn’t notice the extra weight (I am over 200 and in decent shape, my wife however won’t even try it). He could mount and dismount on his own. When we needed to take it off, it tucked into our little carry bag (so small). It hardly took space in our luggage. He could see everything, and loved using my ears as a steering wheel. In a 2 week vacation, we literally used the stroller only 3 times, and that was just in the first few days.Additional bonus was that others found us adorable (especially when playing horsey, or singing and dancing), which was way awesome in disarming aggressive street hawkers. In fact, it was like a reverse card, he would receive kisses and gifts.The only downside was when he got tired. He might have slept once on my back, but it was probably pretty uncomfortable for him. Mostly he stayed awake through the exhaustion.

Title: Lightweight, great for the one being carried AND the one carrying!
Review: Got this for a vacation trip where we were worried our (not so) little one would get tuckered out on hikes and long outings but wouldn’t have a stroller available. (And we weren’t keen on carrying him in our arms for long periods.)I was nervous about three things:1) If he would even be willing to ‘ride’ on this at all2) If it would be comfortable for us having him on there for any length of time3) The price given #1 & #2Turns out this was a huge hit for all of us. He wasn’t just willing, he LOVED getting on our backs and standing up on the bar, he could see things from that vantage point but felt secure and comfortable and wasn’t being constantly shifted between different positions and people carrying him. He did occasionally get excited and put his weight on one side or the other for a minute but it wasn’t actually an issue shifting him back and he never felt like he would slip.With some adjustments (the harness has straps to tighten etc) it was fine carrying the weight (~40lbs in our case). You do feel the weight but not in ways that strain your body. We hiked in a forest and did a couple of miles on city streets and it was fine. And when done you’re not aching once you take it off.Given how great it worked and that it’s so portable and light to pack/carry the price is actually great value. Doesn’t replace a stroller or wagon for long distances but fantastic for traveling or when you’re going somewhere where those big carriages can’t go. Definitely recommend it for kids getting too big for strollers but not going to survive long distances walking themselves the whole time.

Title: Survived Mackinac Island & Rocky Mountains!
Review: **UPDATE: We just got back from our vacation to Colorado. With nearly 50 miles of mountain hiking while wearing this behind me, I can say this product was fantastic! We hiked Vail, Breckenridge, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Dinosaur Ridge, Flat Irons Vista, Rocky Mountain National Park, worked out at Red Rocks, and navigated downtown Denver, the Aquarium, and the Denver Airport, all with my little guy happily looking over my shoulders! I never felt limited by where I could go, and I loved that it gave my son the opportunity to see such amazing things! The setup also makes for some adorable selfies!The only negative I have is that on two occasions the “teeth” in the buckle that adjusts the height of the bar lost their bite, causing my little one to quickly shift to one side. I “solved” this issue by tying the strap in a knot around the buckle, which held for the rest of the trip.I will say that everywhere we went, we had people asking us about it, making comments about how cool it was, and taking pictures of it so that they could look it up themselves. Several people asked if I designed it myself because they had never seen anything like it.**Original Review: We bought this product for an upcoming vacation to Colorado, but thought we should start practicing during other easier trips. Last weekend we took it with us to Mackinac Island and I really believe it saved the trip. Our 2.5 year old loved his new found height and loved even more that he didn’t have to walk 8+ miles! With my wife’s assistance it was easy “loading and unloading”. I will echo what other reviewers have said and that without an easy way to rest, your child will likely squat down or try to sit on the bar like a swing. If they slip off the bar, it’s nearly impossible to get them back up without help. We quickly adapted though and remembered that it was good for him to walk some and for me to take a break! We hear over a dozen people make comments, and one person stopped and asked if they could take a photo of the brand so they could look it up themselves. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend, depending on the site and temperament of your kiddo.

Title: Simply amazing!
Review: I’ve been eying this product for some time now because my 2.5 year old is growing so fast and is having a hard time fitting in his Osprey kiddo backpack. The backpack states to 36 lbs, but my not so little guy is tall and stacked for his age! We needed an alternative that would also allow him to be free when he wanted to roam about. This piggy back option is wonderful. We tried it around the house to get him used to it and he responded really well! Dad usually wears our kiddo, but now I can too. The way his weight is distributed makes it easy to wear him on my back. It’s a cool gadget and has attracted a lot of attention when we are out on hiking trails. Overall I would give this 10 stars if I could. We bought the option with all the additional attachments. Not sure if I will use them all? So far I’ve only used the key ring. Probably could have done without.

Review: I have now had this for a few weeks and love it. Took my toddler a few times to get used to it but he now loves it and hands me the clips for his harness. I did buy the back support as well but found that that makes the bar too high for wee man to step onto on his own. This is a great bit of kit for out and about when little legs get tired on long walks. Love it!
