Each speaker is equipped with an 8″ Dynamic Balance Driver, and dual 0.75″ Ring Radiator Tweeter that delivers smooth, detailed highs and accurate lows for an unparalleled musical experience. Featuring dual-ported bandpass enclosure, the loudspeakers offer deep, impactful bass and minimize resonances for crystal clear audio output. The 80F/X-LS is equipped with the Vanishing Wall Distance Toggle switch that helps to tune out the boominess, without sacrificing the deep bass response of the speaker. Pair them with the Vanishing LS Series center channel and in-wall speakers, or Polk’s traditional floor-standing and bookshelf stereo speakers, to build a complete 5.1 or 7.1 channel home theater setup. Title: POLK IN UP THERE
Review: The Polk ceiling speakers made my Atmos experience come to life. I had a 7.1 system before so I didn’t know what I was missing. The height channels added another dimension and now I’m truly surrounded in sound. I have a few other 7.1 surround speakers at my home in different areas so I know that Polk does have a unique sound. The ring radiator in Polk speakers give it a reserved sound so it is not as airy as traditional speakers so if you have a really lively room that is not acoustically treated Polk may be right for you. I am very satisfied with the sound of the Polk speakers in my 7.1.6 setup.

Title: Great speakers
Review: We have a 5.1 audio system for the living room. I purchased the Polk Audio 80F/X-LS for the front 3 speakers (right, center, and left) and purchased the Polk Audio 80F/X-RT for the 2 back speakers (right and left). The house is a new build – we ran the audio cable and used the 9-3/8″ diameter Polk pre-construction brackets before the drywall went up – so installation was a breeze. I rotated the speakers towards the listening area and added the Polk DSW PRO 440 subwoofer. I was concerned about poor sound from the front speakers being in-ceiling rather than in-wall, but they sound great! We have been listening to them from about a year and are very happy with the purchase.

Review: Replaced Definitive Technology BP-10 floor speaks and a Definitive Technology Mythos 3 center channel with these and they sound just as good if not better and the wifey is happy no wires in the living room.

Title: Buy Focal 100 instead
Review: These speakers sound mediocre and leave a lot to be desired. Buy Focal 100 series instead and it will blow the Polk away for same amount of money. It’s not even close. I wanted to love the Polk because I already had the Polk Legend Tower speakers but the Polk in ceiling and in wall speakers are not very good. It was disappointing.
