Title: Life-changing upgrade for Sony photographers
Review: I love this camera so much. I shoot a lot of performance events with quick action in dim light so I was worried I would struggle with the reportedly poor dark room performance compared to my other Sony camera bodies. It out-performs my A7r4 in every way. The autofocus and ergonomics, both of which affect every shot and every picture, are so much improved it is annoying to use any of my other cameras.

Title: Most powerful camera I have used
Review: The primary thing I like about this incredible camera is its speed. Speed of focus, shutter speed, speed of customizing to a particular setting, all really make the camera stand out. The camera feels great in the hand, and in the time I have been using has certainly allowed me to capture shots (nature, spontaneous family portraits) that not have been possible otherwise. Yes, it’s a big investment, but I feel like the results are worth it. That said, I do wish it would accept CFexpress Type B cards (it accepts Type A only, or standard SD cards), and had a lower base ISO. That said, if you are a sports or nature (birds!) photographer this camera should be at the top of your list to consider.

Title: The #1 Camera on the Market
Review: If you’re looking for the fastest camera on the market, this one is it.The auto focus and tracking is insanely fast and can keep up with any subject.Best for sports and wildlife photography. The only downfall is the low MP, but it’s a small con, because the sensor is so good images come out great after cropping with high ISO.Highly recommend updating your lens firmware before attaching to this bad boy.

Title: Next Generation global sensor in a 5th generation Sony mirrorless body.
Review: This is the first evolution of digital cameras, the true next generation camera! This is due to the global sensor technology in the A9III, the first digital camera to have one.All previous digital cameras from every major manufacturer uses rolling shutter digital CMOS sensors, or a version of it, either FSI, BSI or stacked sensors. These rolling shutter all have the same readout technology no matter the speed, they readout one line after another from the top. So, you are actually capturing different moments in time on your image, no matter how imperceptible the difference between them is.That all changes with the A9III with its global sensor technology that can read out the whole sensor at once.This was important for me as I was contemplating whether upgrading from my beloved A7RIII to any other cameras from any other manufacturer were worth it.Newer cameras like the A7RV had higher resolution rolling shutter sensors with slow readouts, thus exacerbating issues for anything other than portraits and landscape photography.In the case of stacked sensor cameras that have faster readout to mitigate issues with rolling shutter, the cost goes up and the noise level goes up. I am ok with that, but rolling shutter issues are not completely eliminated in the A1 or A1 Mark II. They still use the same old technology while being significantly more expensive.I did get an A7RV as it included a refined body with features that make it a more complete camera,. But it is a slow scanning rolling shutter sensor camera best used for portraits and landscape photography.I purchased the A9III and used it 3 days later with a Tamron 35-150 2-2.8 for my daughter’s college graduation. Out of the hundreds of photographs and a few videos of the event, only one photograph was slightly out of focus.This is a stunning result and I hadn’t even had time to optimize the camera before the event. The images are absolutely superb. I wouldn’t pay attention to the complaints about the specs on resolution or ISO sensitivity. They haven’t actually used the camera.This is easily the best camera from any manufacturer. I am not sure how Sony sells it at less that the A1MarkII. It’s clearly a superior camera.If you are considering buying a camera in this price range, the A9III is the only one that I would recommend. It’s fantastic not only as a sports and action camera but a general use camera for reportage, documentary and every day life.I do wish Sony would enable the full gamut of video features like ProRes internal recording and tools like vectorscope, etc. Because the global sensor would make this camera rival cinema cameras that cost significantly more than the A9III.

Title: I switched from Canon to Sony
Review: I’m a former Canon user who switched to the Sony A9 III after selling my R5—but only after confirming that my Canon lenses would work seamlessly with the Sony system. I’m happy to report they do, using a Sigma MC-11 adapter. My Canon EF glass includes the 11–24mm, 14mm, 24mm, 100mm macro, 70–200mm, 100–400mm, 400mm f/4, and 600mm—each works reliably.The A9 III focuses quickly and accurately. Once I got comfortable with Sony’s extensive menu system—thanks in large part to the Friedman Archive guide—I was able to capture shots I often missed with the R5. The only lens I added was the Sony 200–600mm. While it’s a bit slower, it’s impressively sharp.

Title: The best ever action camera!
Review: This camera is not for everybody, and no camera is. However, if you want to catch those impossible action shots, here it is. Yes, 24 megapixels is lower, but you can still take great landscape pictures. You just can’t crop them as much. If you want to use a flash, you can outperform any camera by not having to worry about the sync speed.My primary interest is bird photography, and especially birds in flight. The autofocus is fast and tracks amazingly well, even better than my A7 IV (which was very good). The subject recognition can be set to humans, animals, birds, insects, and more. This aids in finding and maintaining focus.Additional features are game changers: global shutter, pre-capture, and burst speed. Read the information on these above.Yes, you give up a stop in ISO performance, and you don’t have the resolution, but the tradeoff is pictures you could never successfully consistently capture before. As a side note, the steady-shot function on this camera is great. I have hand-held still shots at a half second with excellent results, which allowed me to shoot at a much lower ISO.The attached photos show how pre-capture and continuous focusing easily capture otherwise difficult shots.There are way too many features to cover, but if you are excited about action shots (sports, birds, animals in motion, auto racing, etc.), then this is the camera.
