Title: Rechargeable 360 degree articulating borescope with LED lights
Review: This item shipped and arrived very fast. This USB C rechargeable 360 degree articulating and 210 degree bending borescope with LED lights is my new favorite tool. I own a borescope but it does not articulate, wow what I was missing out on. These borescopes are so nice to be able to move the thumb joystick and look in a full 360 degree view without having to try and bend an ordinary scope to get the view you are looking for that takes forever sometimes. The head will rotate so far backwards you can see the hole you placed it in. This scope is very easy to use and set up. All of the push button controls are conveniently located below the screen for fast access. The scope is IP67 waterproof so it can be used in dry and wet environments. This thing has a huge 5 inch screen with awesome quality for easy viewing. The scope also has a built in Micro SD card slot to capture images and video in full 1080P. The image quality from this scope is the best I have ever seen, it is clear, crisp, and easy to recognize what you are looking at even in total darkness. It comes with a 32GB Micro SD card. You can adjust the brightness of the screen and the LED lights on the end of the scope. It comes very well packaged with a nice form fitting semi- hard case with dense foam, storage pockets inside to carry extra items, protect, and store it. It also includes a small J hook and magnetic attachment that you clip on the tip of the borescope to retrieve items. This scope is very well made and functional for some many situations. This scope could be used in automotive, industrial, residential, HVAC, Plumbers, Contractor, etc… Over in my opinion this is an amazing scope with the best quality I have ever used or seen. The cost is fair for this industrial rated scope. I rated it 5 stars.

Title: Good, but there are cheaper alternatives.
Review: Clear screen, and is intuitive to use. The turnable end is nice. Though I dont think I would pay full price for this, especially since there are similar units for half the price. But overall its definitely useful.

Title: SUPER useful – but expensive
Review: I’m not sure I’d recommend this to everyone, but I’d recommend knowing someone who has one of these, as about a dozen friends have now asked to borrow this for various reasons. It’s a cool little gadget, and it’s come in useful to inspect a blockage in a pipe, check under some cabinets for a lost ring, and actually find where wiring was running inside a wall. There’s unlimited uses for this. I’m not sure it’s got a utility that will pay back the investment, but I’m very happy I have it.

Title: Indispensable tool
Review: Pricey, but indispensable when you need it. Since obtaining this tool I’ve used it in looking down a clogged utility sink drain and many times when trying to fish cables through my walls when redoing some electrical work in my home. Every time this tool came in clutch.Super easy to operate when all charged up. I’ve not had a need to record video or take photos but rather just use it to be my eyes in tight spaces. The ability to easily and precisely adjust the camera end is indispensable. I have a (much) cheaper endoscope and although that tool comes in handy if you’re tight need to feed a camera over a longer run, you can’t adjust the camera. You basically just shove the camera snake and hope for the best. With this tool, I’m able to put the camera inside the walls and literally look around. It’s great!The tool comes with a nice semi-hard zipper case which is nice. A big clear 5” screen provides full color images.The price may be cost prohibitive for some, but I can absolutely tell you how glad I am to have this tool in my bag of tricks when needed.

Title: Good, not great
Review: This is my first borescope, and though it does a decent job there are some things that could be improved and features that, at least to me, would be handy.Used it to borescope my engine while I was changing the spark plugs. The first feature that would be nice would be a way to reset the 12:00 position. Working at odd angles, and in tight spots, especially with the length of the cable it’s tough to tell which way its actually articulating with the joystick. It does have a 180 degree video swap function, but being able to reset to 12:00 for how it’s currently positioned would be better.The joystick has uneven travel. Getting it to articulate in a smooth manner just isn’t possible. The tension required on the joystick varies as you move it around the clock, and at each corner (i.e. 1:30, 4:30, 7:30, and 10:30) the articulating end jumps rapidly across that section making it difficult to get a good view all the way around. It also doesn’t always return directly to being straight when the joystick goes back to centerThe temp display isn’t all that accurate. The lights around the camera heat up and the temp constantly climbs. Just sitting in our house with the temp set at 65, the borescope climbed to over 100 degrees as its own lights heated up the lens area.Battery life: it had a full charge when I started using it for the borescope and to also assist with getting a good look at some clips/fasteners under the dash. Total “on” time was maybe 30 minutes and it was already down to half battery life.Overall, between the lens and the surrounding lights it has a good picture with both good definition and depth of view. It does the job you expect, but could be better.

Review: This is amazing to use in the automotive trade! It comes in a very nice and durable case. Has a very good length of the camera cable. Cable is thin enough that it can basically get into almost any area of a vehicle. The articulating end is very useful, especially when needing slight angle adjustments for a better picture. The screen is very clear and vivid. The joystick is smooth, but sometimes trying to get 180° on the cable end is a learning curve (not that this is done often). Placement of the picture button is thought out well, being the button it is on the handle, it is easy to trigger with index finger. Comes with a Bluetooth app if wanting the screen displayed onto your smart device of choice, which is nice if you’re trying to take pictures if you’re needing to send pictures to a customer or coworker. Plugs in easily for charging. Does come with two attachments, one is a small hook and one is a small magnet. I did not find either of these useful/needed in my line of work, but they are there if you require them. Other technicians in my shop are jealous of this tool.

Review: ✅ The model TF550 borescope articulation was mechanically controlled by joystick control and appeared to work surprisingly well with a very good range of smooth movement.✅ Video latency was very good, that is, very low.✅ Video quality was surprisingly acceptable, particularly in close-ups.✅ Starting a video or capturing a still image was super convenient with a handle trigger button.✅ Playback of video and images was convenient on the generous 5″ LCD screen. Menu graphics were very crisp and clear. Scope display graphics was good enough for practical real-time examination.✅ Still image captures, even in close-up views was a bit grainy but they were better than most similar competing products witnessed.✅ The optional instant 180 degree image view flip option was really handy. Coupled with the articulation, targeting the subject was easier.✅ View can be digitally zoomed in by up to 1.5 magnification.✅ Image/video false triggering was minimized by having the user hold down the trigger a little longer for an image capture or double triggering to start a video. Stopping a video recording was a single trigger.✅ The product was lightweight and build quality good.✅ The instrument handle was easy to hold securely in the hand.✅ Probe tip was usefully narrow with a diameter of about 0.25″.✅ The 1.55 m long probe was well made and it appeared durable.✅ The probe was rated IP67 dust and water resistant.✅ The LEDs were meaningfully bright and could be adjusted lower and off.✅ An optional ability for the product to host a WiFi connection to a mobile device running an available app so others can review the images remotely.✅ A camera lens protective end cap, a USB-C charge/data cable, an object hook and magnet accessory, and four alcohol lens cleaning pads were included in the kit.✅ The shelled zippered carry case was well made and should protect the instrument. Note that it was not water resistant.✅ The user manual was well written and informative.✅ Product warranty is 12 months with lifetime technical support and contact via email, website and telephone.❌ Recorded audio quality was not great. However, it was good enough to capture verbal notes while performing a video capture.❌ The temperature of the camera tip is monitored. This has more to do with product health monitoring instead of environment temperature. The temperature rises quickly (in my case to 46C) whether the LEDs are enabled or not. Therefore, the camera end does get hot. After about 15 minutes in a 21C room, the probe end was 51C.❌ The product playback hardware was not water resistant. For the asking price, the user could have perhaps expected some level of water or splash resistance.❌ The silkscreen labeling of the user pushbuttons was difficult to see particularly when the LCD screen was shining in your eyes in dark environments.❌ At review time the vendor list price was $449.99 Cdn plus an available $30 discount coupon. Some shoppers might not be happy with this, however, the borescope does provide a useful service that justifies some of the cost.NOTES:* Not a con, but the user might need a bit of time to learn how to navigate the functionality of the product. It means pressing buttons, reviewing the user manual and learn by doing.* After one hour of constant use the battery charge level icon on the LCD screen dropped to 75%.SUMMARY:It is true you get what you pay for. It is unclear that such a statement unconditionally applies to the TF550, however, it does offer quite a bit of functional and performant ability. The Teslong TF550 is a convenient tool that quickly assesses and records hard-to-reach problems. This is what the shopper will get. The capture quality was surprisingly above average.

Review: This articulating borescope really impressed me. The joystick control makes it super easy to maneuver the camera exactly where you need it, even in very tight or awkward spaces. The 5-inch screen is bright and clear, and the image quality is surprisingly sharp for such a compact unit.It’s been especially helpful for checking inside engines and behind walls. The build feels sturdy and professional, and the articulation is smooth and responsive. Definitely a must-have tool if you work in automotive or any kind of detailed mechanical repair.

Review: This borescope is slick. It’s the best one I have used. The screen is a nice size, and the display is colour and high resolution. I like that the diameter of the camera and cable is small, so you don’t need a large opening to slide the camera inside. The headlight on the end provides a surprisingly large amount of light. The thumb-controlled articulating camera is so nice because you can insert the camera, then turn the camera in any direction using the thumb control. The case is also well designed and provides good protection for the camera.

Review: Pros:- Camera quality is great! With the LED, you can see in low light situations and the focus is good enough to focus on closer details- Probe moving is incredibly weird, but it works great! Range of motion is very large. It’s also way easier to control than you would expect. The joystick is oriented with the screen orientation, so left on the screen means left on the joystick. Also, speed of movement is controlled by the input amount of the joystick, so you can easily move slower of faster. Overall, control of the probe feels very instinctual.- Easy to take photos and videos, and lots of storage to store it all with the included 32gb SD card- Included probe tips are practical and serve lots of purposeCons:- Screen is not waterproof, only the probe is. So be careful.- Enormous package: Screen and handle are enormous, and they could be smaller, but that may make them be less nice to use. However, the carrying case has no business being that huge. it is unnecessarily large. For example, I used to have another smaller and less expensive borescope, and since this case is so large, I had no room for both of them. So I put the smaller borescope (with its box and all) INSIDE of the carrying case (with the other more expensive borescope this review is about). What I mean here is that the carrying case is so large, it can hold 2 borescopes. That’s crazy.- Probe rope is a bit short, it may not be suited for plumber work or any work where you need more than a few feet. It’s more suited for automotive or smaller scale work.Overall, this borescope is great, maybe one of the best there is. But it is very expensive. My other borescope I mentioned earlier was way less expensive, and it could do most of what this one does. It can’t move the camera, record photos or videos, and it feels a bit cheaper. But it has a comparable screen, a way longer probe and the same accessories. So if you really need the articulating camera, this one is very good. But if you’re not sure, there are many good borescope out there that will be 4x less expensive and give you almost as much.
