Title: Awesome shelves!
Review: These shelves are such a great deal for the price! Color is spot on as the photos, and look beautiful. Very sturdy mounting hardware, and it’s fantastic its real wood. My only gripe is that the screw holes on the bottom (that attach the shelf to the mounts) are visible and they didn’t provide round wood colored patches to hide it.

Title: 47 1/8” wide instead of 48” Otherwise Beautiful.
Review: This shelf is very beautiful and sturdy. We bought 2 of them. We really hated to send it back, but it was actually 47 1/8” wide instead of the 48” advertised. For an open shelf wall it would have been great, but we were going to anchor it between two cabinets and it was too short. That’s the reason for 4 stars. Don’t hesitate to buy this shelf if you don’t need the actual 48”. You won’t be disappointed.

Review: Let me begin by saying that I’ve installed many shelves (floating and bracketed) over the years. I bought the 9″ deep shelves to hold books and artsy items in an unused corner.I began by screwing only two of the screws into the studs for support. Should be all you need, right? But once tightened, the pressure warped the support bar towards the center so that the bars pointed inwards towards each other instead of straight out, making it impossible to slide the shelf on.Okay. One should follow manufacturing instructions, right? So I went ahead and drilled all SEVEN!!! other holes for the bar. It sure did secure it to the wall, and it straightened the bars out with some wiggling. But once I got the shelf on and screwed in, I was disturbed by the amount of give in the shelf. I wanted to put pounds and pounds of paper and wood and metal and paintings on this and it feels barely up to supporting its own weight. On a total of NINE screws, two of which are in studs.I took the shelf off and wiggled the bar…pretty sure this stuff is one step away from aluminum foil in terms of heartiness.In short, if you’re buying the shallow shelves and plan to only put a couple of lightweight things on it, you’ll be okay. But you shouldn’t ever need nine screws for a shelf and can get the job done with a floating shelf from a local big box store with half the effort.Hard pass.
