This flax cone has been exclusively made in France by Focal since 2013. With its original design, it is 100% geared towards acoustic performance.
Flax is a fibre with the unique ability to reproduce a very natural sound without colouration, with a rich reproduction in the midrange and clear bass strokes.
Made in France in the Focal workshops, the TAM tweeter stands out for its many qualities, particularly in terms of wide-angle diffusion, beneficial for in-car environments characterised by “off-axis” listening.
Comprising a cone that is an aluminium/magnesium ‘M’-profile inverted dome, this tweeter unites an impressive array of cutting-edge Focal technologies to reproduce a faultless harmonic balance and highly-detailed treble.

Title: AMAZING SPEAKERS
Review: It’s really hard to find information about these speakers online ! I did a lot of research before buying because I did not know if they would be worth the price tag. Spoiler Alert: THEY ARE ! My main concern was that these speaker tweeter would be “bright” aka loud and fatiguing, which a lot of people had voiced their concern about. they are NOT at all. The sound is perfectly balanced and I have the tweeter placed on the A pillars on Axis to ear level. The sound is pleasant and not fatiguing and you have the option to turn the tweeter down -3db which made it blend more with the rest of the component set. The bass on these speakers is insanely good, the woofer and mid hit very deep and punchy bass ! I even set the crossover frequency to 20hz and turned off my subwoofer and it was difficult to tell that I even turned the subwoofer off because of how deep and rich these speakers are able to hit the bass. they can get insanely loud while still sounding clear full and dynamic. i upgraded to this from an Alpine R series set which I thought sounded good but these new speakers blew my alpines out of the water. I’ll put it this way. In my Prius 2016 the PS165 f3e made it feel as if I had upgraded car stock speakers all over again. These speakers are popular with audiophiles so another concern of mine was active or passive crossover. I gotta say I’m running these with the stock passive crossover and they sound amazing. I was concerned that if I didn’t run these with an active crossover that they wouldn’t sound good but the passive crossover does a great job. I have the woofers in stock door location mids in the dash and tweeters in a pillar.

Title: You pay less at the beginning but more at end.
Review: Grey market product that came without warranty form. It looks legit and sounds good. Too bad mine came with a defective crossover. Return will cost me over 300 dollars. Lesson learned, don’t buy any products again from an unauthorized dealer because at the end it can cost more.

Title: OK Focal, you have a way to go for American metal?
Review: Focal, your speakers are good. They sound amazing hear things in songs I’ve never heard. But they cannot take a severe pounding from American metal. I have good equipment in my vehicle but if you listen to metal these speakers you will go through have shredded a crossover have shredded a driver in a short period of time. Both times within a month out of warranty window. Amazing how that happens. Your speakers may be Gojira tested but they are not Meshugga tested. Will keep buying your speaker because of the amazing sound of them. I have the flax
