Title: Just BUY it SKIP NVIDA PLEASE
Review: Solid graphics card for 1440 or some light 4k gaming, drivers are not as bad as people say they are. The card looks great, runs 8-pin connectors, so your house won’t burn down like an Nvidia card would, but worth a pickup if you can get it for MSRP or close to it. I’ve had 0 issues, and the small RGB is a nice touch, and the design is great.

Title: Impressive performance, considering the size
Review: This is actually the most shortest RX 9070 XT currently available, at “only” 288mm (11.3 in) long, and one of the narrowest, coming in at 2.8 slots wide. Gigabyte also does not state the weight of the card on their spec sheet, but I have seen it listed at 2.78 lb or 1261g at other retailers. This is light enough that Gigabyte doesn’t include a stand. And IMO, it doesn’t need one. Compare this to the biggest card, the XFX Mercury, at 5.18 lb or 2350g — the Gigabyte Gaming OC is nearly half the card.So you might think that its thermal performance would be underwhelming. Yet it runs cool and quiet despite pulling 330W under load, and they even somehow managed to cram a vapor chamber into the design. It’s also backed by a three-year warranty in case you have concerns about endurance. Meanwhile, the RGB is restricted to a small logo on the side, which cycles through a bright rainbow of colors by default. I prefer a stealth build, so thankfully you can adjust this or turn it off with the company’s Gigabyte Control Center software. Though I have heard that this app is a bit shoddy, so I wouldn’t use it to adjust performance.Using AMD’s Adrenaline software instead, you can undervolt and adjust the power limit with sliders, and here you will discover that you can actually get higher clock speeds, less heat and less fan noise by reducing voltage and power limits. Apparently the clocks hit a thermal ceiling by default, so reducing voltage and power can make them go higher. However, this can introduce some instability (regardless of the video card brand), so some games and apps may crash if your settings are too ambitious.Overall, I have been pretty pleased with this relatively compact card. RDNA4 introduces a huge boost in ray tracing — 40-50% higher than my 6900 XT. And raster performance is about 30% higher on average. Then there’s FSR4, whose image quality is within spitting distance of DLSS4 (though it’s not supported by as many games). A few tweaks to the voltage and power limits can also bring this card’s efficiency well in line with the RTX 5070 Ti — with performance to match, depending on the game. I had my doubts about this specific model after looking at its dimensions and weight, but it has proved to be a pleasant surprise.

Title: Good for the right price
Review: – The 9070 XT has been a great card so far, offering great rasterization performance and upscaling with FSR4. RT performance is much better than my 6800, but it’s just not that important to me. The card has been very stable thus far – I am not doing any major OCing or undervolting. I play @ 1440p max settings in most titles, and it handles it without a sweat.- GPU Temperature hangs around 50-60°C, and Hot Spot around 70°C when gaming.- The size is one of the best aspects; it’s 288mm long, and takes up ~3 slots, which makes it a lot easier to fit into smaller cases. Big difference from the 340mm card I was coming from.- Major downside is that the default fan curve is insanely loud. I do not consider myself to be sensitive to loud systems, but I recommend tweaking the curve in Adrenaline. *If you download and open the Gigabyte software to change the RGB light bar color, it will reset the fan curve* – So, I just set it to white and forget about it.- Overall, I am happy with this card – I obtained this one at launch for the retail price, and would not have spent more on it.

Title: Awesome GPU
Review: An amazing upgrade from my 3070. In BO6 at 1440p the 3070 fans would be running full blast. In the same scenario, half the time the 9070 xt doesn’t even have to turn its fans on, while cranking out significant higher fps. So why 4 stars instead of 5? 9070 XTs have a bug right now where you can’t wake up your computer from sleep mode and have to do a hard shutdown. Also, it’s ridiculous for Gigabyte to do a $80 markup for a very slight overclock. That said, given the prices scalpers are charging, I feel like $730 was a bargain. Very glad I kept hitting refresh on launch day to get this.
