Title: Never accept an important item in a damaged box.
Review: When I received this clock, the box was in bad condition. I wish I had returned the whole thing. It appeared that the clock was ok in spite of the box, so I went on and gave it as a gift. The person who received the gift just told me that when he was ready to hang the clock, there was a small place on the back that appeared to have been damaged and repaired. He said he was ok with this, but I am very disappointed. Otherwise the front of the clock is beautiful and it is working well.

Title: Beautiful!
Review: It’s been a while since I made this purchase. It was made to replace one I previously had, but had been knocked off the wall and broke into several pieces. I was pleasantly surprised that it looked the same, and it as gorgeous as ever. The chime reminds me of my grandmothers house and the wood is old looking, and old can look new. Howard Miller did it with this one!

Title: Pendulum stops working, burns thru batteries
Review: After 2 1/2 years this is still the case – Beautiful clock, but I have to change the batteries every month because the pendulum stops working…the clock always works though. I know it’s not the batteries because I’ve purchased different brands & they all last the same …. so disappointed!!

Title: Great Clock but read my review.
Review: Look this is a very nice clock but… I was a little dissapointed in the size of the clock face itself and really the over all size. This was my fault thought because I should have looked a little closer at he size in the discription. Don’t get me wrong I love clocks and this will be a magnificent herloom to pass down to my daughter. Sorry after the way my son has treated me he get’s nothing of my estate. Back to the clock it did come with a few inperfection’s around the clock face it appeared that it was either done durring packing at the factory or during shipping. I was able to take a brown marker and tap the area’s to make them blend in you really would’nt know if you werent looking for them or just did’nt want to say something to me. Over all Howard Miler make’s great clocks the only reason it was not given four stars is the imperfections I found and the thickness of the clock. I really think it would be better sitting on my piano or desk but I know it’s for the wall.
