Title: Don’t let the carrier-snobs fool you! 5 stars all day!
Review: After much research, review, and debate, my wife and I agreed on this pack to haul around our little beautiful maniac. We wanted a carrier that was big enough to haul the boy+his nicknacks, yet small enough that we weren’t knocking things over when we turned around. I read every review on pretty much every single pack comperable to this in price/size. I looked through other websites where each pack was broken down and ranked based on numerous specifications and features. As far as the reviews for this pack:One person said the shoulder straps “cut” into there shoulders. The straps are extremely comfortable and wide. Well padded. The quality is noticeable immediately.I think what you have to realize before buying this carrier- is the design. It’s meant to be more sleek, smaller than the other comperable frame packs. So are there other carriers out there that offer more comfort? I’m sure there are. I would liken this to a well-padded back pack. There is a very ridged and lightweight frame, however unlike other designs- it doesn’t tower 2 feet above your head. It’s comfortable, but you have to keep in mind you’re hauling a living person in it. There has to be some expected level of discomfort when you consider that fact. Our son is 6 1/2 months old and tips the scale @ 21lbs. We recently took it out for our annul “post turkey-trek” up and down moderately rough terrain for approximately 1 hour. When we got back to the car I could’ve kept going for another 5 hours. Granted I’m 6’2″ and 200lbs, but I’m no athlete. Just an average joe with incredibly strong shoulders and traps (jk).My wife wore it around the house, and for her the only problem is feeling “helpless” to help him if he fell. You just have to get used to it. It’s scary at first because you’re wanting to make sure your little one is in there secure- so I would encourage you to get really familiar with all the straps and (tons) of adjustments that can be made. These adjustments don’t just ensure the safety of your tyke, they also help with your comfort. If you wear the pack and it is uncomfortable at first, don’t be discouraged, just try some different adjustments until you find your “fit”. Wow, I’m still writing this review. Time to wrap it up. It comes with everything. Shade, stirrups(?), changing pad, head rest, storage, kickstand. Good quality. This product deserves a better rating than it has.PS. I do not work for Phil or Ted lol lol lol!****update**** Baby#2 & the Escape is still going strong!! And this dude is HUGE.

Title: Great backpack – plenty of space, weight distribution
Review: I have a few backpacks – Osprey, Gregory, REI for small day hikes to multi day. This however is my first pack for carrying a child. For the price, this is hard to beat and looks better in person than the photos.Everything is functional, parts and materials are durable and the accessories are an added bonus. Buying a canopy is separate for many brands and usually is an additional $30-40. I don’t plan on using this bag much so I was more price sensitive than my other packs but in hindsight I’d say that this pack is superior in many ways compared to the bigger brands. I was worried most sweat as I live in Southern California – and I do sweat a bit on longer hikes with it but nothing crazy and don’t feel hot. Most important my 10 month old can stay in here for hours – the shoulder strap is very comfortable and it has included saddle straps which help keep the children’s feet elevated a bit for proper blood circulation.Great product and highly recommended. If youre shopping the other brands – you may want to give this one a try.

Title: U-shaped shoulder strap is awkward and fleece pads are not removable, washable
Review: We loved everything about this carrier – compact, light, easy to set up. But why oh why they made a key padded strap that goes over baby/kid’s head and shoulders in fleece material and not removable beats me.Our son hated having the u-shaped pulled over his head. Every other carrier has shoulder straps the slide up from the side, not from the top over the head. Note: our son hated all carriers when he was a baby, so he is much more sensitive to straps and pads being put over his head or near his neck than other babies.I think we could have worked past this was some practice, but the u-shaped strap is covered in a fleece pad that is not removable and that absolutely killed any chance of us keeping it. It’s too hot for hiking in the heat. Our son also has GER and still spits up at 10 months. I searched high and low across the web for a video or any ways to remove this pad and couldn’t find an option to do so.

A l’intérieur, grande bouteille, repas, cartes…. (environ 8litres).

Review: I started using this from 5 months. It is a bit tricky at that age as baby lols around more, but he was big for his age and fitted well and was well supported. After a week hiking round the lake district when he was 6 months I got used to putting him in and out though it is difficult getting the bag on and off if you are on your own. The bag so far seems to have taken no damage from wear and tear, the extra storage is useful and space, hole and clip for a water carrier is well thought out. The bag is also quite lightweight and doesnt feel clumbsy. Don’t worry about the ‘mirror included as it’s literally a cheap peice of mirror that goes in a pocket and half the time I used my smartphone to check on the baby. I feel that there are perhaps better supporting carriers out there for parents as I did suffer with shoulder problems a couple of times and an achy back, though my baby is a heavy one! The most important thing for me was that the baby is well supported, safe and comfortable which was definitely the case as half the time he was asleep and the other half he was sat comfortably watching what was going on. The stirrups came in useful too as at 6 months he could reach these and that helped with stability and helped him stay in it for longer. The hood is also well thought out, and really helps when it’s windy and rains!
