Title: All In One Kit Easy For Beginners. Extra Short Needles at .05mm Can Be Used on Lips.
Review: The Seranova Micro Infusion for Skin Care Kit comes not only with a needling stamp but with a serum that the Amazon ad says contains “Collagen Peptides & Hyaluronic Acid.” I ordered the kit that is to last two months, two treatments per month. At $119, this rounds off to $30 per treatment.The kit is well organized, and the instruction manual is informative and easy to read. If I were new to microneedling, using this kit would give me confidence. I can recommend it for anyone who might be nervous to begin a practice that involves poking hundreds, perhaps thousands, of tiny holes into one’s skin in the hopes of mitigating the aging process. While it might seem a bit barbaric, I have been doing it for some months and can attest to the fact that it improves skin tone.I have used derma rollers, dermapens, and derma stamps with various sized needles and heads. I have also used a variety of serums. They are useful both as slip to help the needling instruments glide, and to permeate skin to maximize their effectiveness. I normally use needles labeled as .25mm and .50mm because these are depths are known to be effective depths for rejuvenation, depths at which little or no bleeding is caused. I sometimes use .75mm, and have learned that this .25-.75mm range is common among microneedlers outside medical establishments. I was surprised that the needles in this Seranova kit are listed as being merely .05mm in depth. It is relatively shallow.I have used these Seranova stamps twice. The needles do feel short to me, more similar to .25mm, but shorter. They do cause a little discomfort and some redness, but both quickly dissipated. I can tell that with pressure the needles do pierce the skin to some minor degree.When I do an online search for information about the depth of needling efficacy, I don’t find any charts that include needles in the .05mm range. Charts all begin with needles at .25mm. This makes me wonder how effective the Seranova stamp can be if its needles are only .05mm. If there is a typo in the literature regarding their length, the Amazon Rufus feature did not pick it up. I asked the length question in a few different ways and got the same .05mm results.One positive thing about the .05mm length of these needles is the fact that the instructions tell users that they can apply the stamp to the lips. This is not always recommended with other similar products with longer needles since skin on the lips is ultra-sensitive. I tried it. It hurt, but not much.It took more than five minutes for the serum to reach the needles as I began to use the stamp. Only after I had begun to press it into my skin and had covered much of one cheek did the serum begin to flow. It is a thin liquid that is just the right consistency as a slip once it is on the face.All things considered, I probably would order this Seranova kit as a gift for someone who wanted to try microneedling but who was apprehensive. It introduces a person to the concept in a less painful way than if using longer needles, and all that is needed is in one place. However, because microneedling stamps, rollers, and even pens are often less expensive than this kit, and because there are a variety of serums available for microneedling, some as low as $12 per ounce, I consider this kit to be pricey. I prefer to needle with .25mm and .50mm needles, while this kit seems to contain four stamps with .05mm needles.

Review: Whoa. I’m thoroughly impressed by this system, and it takes a lot for me to say that about skincare!I assumed this was just another gimmick with results that wear off quickly, but I’m waking up to clearer, smoother, WAY plumper skin. I’ve used peptides and hyaluronic acid for years, but this reminds me of the way my skin looks and feels after an expensive treatment with an esthetician!Background: I’m 43 and in the midst of perimenopause and other hormonal issues. I’ve noticed drastic changes to my skin in the past couple years (fine lines, deep lines, rough texture, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, dryness, and loss of fullness).This system is super easy to use. Follow the directions on the box AND make sure to scan the QR code inside the box for more detailed instructions and info. There’s no manual or instruction sheet included, but the link it takes you to provides very thorough details (and biased) info. I don’t know how much I trust the reviews on their site, but I did appreciate the instructions. They have diagrams, a video, and written instructions, step-by-step. They even talk about how to open the vial, and what to do if the stamp doesn’t work or dispense product.You’ll know if it’s working if a lot of product is dispensed. It’s going to feel very wet at first! I used almost all of my product during the treatment, but had a small amount leftover that I spread over my face, neck, and chest.Does it hurt? Not going to lie, it does feel slightly uncomfortable on some areas, but in general it didn’t hurt much at all! My jawline, forehead, upper lip, and lips were the most sensitive.Like I said, it’s very wet at first. I let it soak in before going to bed, but still felt a little sticky. When I woke up, I swear my skin was glowing more and fine lines were majorly plumped up. My forehead and under eyes feel so smooth! Even my lips feel plumper. I’m not experiencing any residual redness or discomfort. (UPDATE: take it from me: do everything they say! They recommend not using acidic topicals or doing any strenuous activity for 24-48 hours. I worked out the next day and it really stung, despite not seeing any redness Sweat is salty and my skin was still healing, apparently).I’ll continue to use this religiously for the next few months. This set contains a 2-Month supply. I’ve already been using this product for a few months and prefer the 3-month supply since saves a little money. They recommend using it once every 2 weeks. I’m hoping to see an improvement in dark spots!! I’ll update along the way. 😊** I included my before pics when I first started using this product (the 3M set). I’ll include one after the 4th month shortly! I’ve definitely noticed a lightening of dark spots and firmer, more radiant appearance overall. I highly recommend it!
