Title: Almost perfect but the voice cues could be improved
Review: I upgraded from a Bolt v2 and, even though it is expensive, I think the Roam v3 is worth it. I’m not a big fan of touch screens because it’s so hard to touch the right spot when you’re riding down a potholed road so it’s great that all the important functionality is also accessible with the buttons.The larger screen is fantastic as your eyes get older and the permanent display of time and battery level is a bonus. One nice feature on the main page is that if a metric is not available, the next metric in your list is displayed instead. For example, if one of your metrics is ‘distance to next cue’ but you’re not following a route, the next metric in your list is displayed instead. This is better than the Bolt v2 which simple displays nothing which wastes screen space.The battery life is fantastic. Even though the Bolt maintained its battery life of 15 hours for the entire 3 years I owned it, I found it a little sketchy for really long rides. I just rode a 200 mile ride taking 14 hours and the Roam had about 50% battery left. I could have ridden the 300 mile option :-)The only disappointing feature is the voice cues. Even at max volume they are hard to hear and they don’t contain much information. All they say is Turn Left, Turn Right, Continue. I was expecting something more like the RWGPS app voice cues which say things like “Turn Right on Main Street”. I hope Wahoo improves this feature in a future update. Considering the enormous improvements they made to the Bolt through software updates, this may well happen.

Title: Brilliant!
Review: In love with it literally after one ride.was using a simple Bryton 420 for the last five years or so, and it covered all my basic needs like wattage, speed, even Di2. But I still decided to try something new – mostly because of the much better navigation and climbing representation.Garmins seem a bit too excessive, though the solar charging is a real advantage.Anyway, I always felt Wahoo would be my next head unit – and oh boy, I was right!Brilliant menu logic. I’d compare it to the fundamental difference between iPhones and Androids during their golden age of competition. Less is more.Ps. When you start setting it up indoors don’t be fooled by a relatively fast battery drain. It happens only when no satellites. Outside it’s great! ~5% in obe hour… which means unfortunately it will last longer than most of us 😂

Review: Ich hatte zuvor das Wahoo Bolt 2 und bin von diesem neuen Gerät absolut begeistert.Ja. Die Lesbarkeit ist minimal schlechter. Die war davor herausragend und ist jetzt immernoch sehr gut. Dafür hat man ein Touch Screen, was die Nutzung deutlich vereinfacht. Ein weiteres großes Plus ist die Navigations-Meldung via Sprachangaben, was gerade beim Beimpacking die Navigation deutlich vereinfacht und intuitiver macht. Außerdem finde ich die zusätzlichen Informationen auf der Karte ebenfalls sehr hilfreich.Nach 1 Monat intensiver Nutzung kann ich nichts bemängeln und bin mit einem Kauf sehr zufrieden.

Review: Ich habe mir das Gerät in erster Linie zum Nachfahren von Routen gekauft. Das koppeln mit dem IPhone klappte beim 2. Versuch. Danach wurde das GPS-Signal gut erkannt. Das Koppeln mit einem Trittfrequenzsensor klappte ohne Probleme. Die Übertragung von Komoot-Routen funktionierte nach dem Verbinden zur Wahoo-App ebenfalls sehr gut. Die beiden mitgelieferten Halterungen habe ich auf einem Gravel-Bike und zum anderen auf einem E-Bike Trekking-Rad montiert. Bin mit dem E-Bike eine 2stündige Route nachgefahren. GPS war immer vorhanden. Die Route wurde zuverlässig angezeigt und bei einem Abweichen von der Route meinerseits erfolgte direkt eine Neuberechnung zur eigentlichen Routenführung. Bin einmal bei trüben Wetter und einmal bei strahlendem Sonnenschein gefahren. Das Display konnte ich immer gut ablesen, obwohl ich Fahrradbrillen mit einem Lesebereich nutze.Für meine Zwecke und Ansprüche ist es ein gutes Gerät, zumal ich mich nicht ewig mit dem Einrichten beschäftigen möchte. Das klappte für mich als Einsteiger.

Review: Das Wahoo Elemnt Roam 3 ist das beste Fahrradnavi wass ich je gehabt habe. Ich hatte schon einige auch Garmin. Die Navigation ist präzise, das Display ist sehr gut zu sehen auch bei Sonnenschein. Ich würde das Wahoo Elemnt Roam 3 sofort wieder kaufen!

Review: Hallo, das Gerät hat leider ein deutlich schlechteres Display als der ROAM 2 in vielen Situationen. Z.B. wenn die Sonne von hinten kommt/man selber mit dem eigenen Schatten das Gerät verdeckt, bei Bewölkung, innerhalb von Wäldern wo sich Sonne/Schatten schnell mischen ist das Display für mich kaum zu lesen in manchen Situationen. Bei praller Sonne direkt aufs gerät oder z.B. in Tunneln ist das ROAM 3 aber heller als das ROAM 2. Insgesamt ist das Display für mich ein klarer Rückschritt, deswegen ging das Gerät wieder zurück. Ich hatte auf meiner ersten Fahrt damit nach 16km auch einen Absturz. nach dem Neustart des Gerät setzte er aber die Route nicht automatisch fort und meine Aufzeichnung ging verloren.Ansonsten fand ich die neue GUI gut. Die Bedienung ist flott, die Karte viel detaillierter. Die Sprachausgabe hat mir gut gefallen, das ist besser als das Gepiepse vom ROAM 2. Die Fahrradklingel Funktion konnte ich nicht nutzen, das istmir viel zu gefährlich, während der Fahrt auf einen kleinen Bereich auf dem Gerät doppelzutippen um zu klingeln. Das Gerät ist weiterhin komplett mit den Knöpfen steuerbar. Touch habe ich nur genutzt um in manchen Situationen die Karte zu verschieben/zu zoomen, das ist auf dem ROAM 2 ein Krampf und echt mühselig.Ein ROAM 3 mit dem Display des ROAM 2 wäre das Richtige für mich 🙂 Schade Wahoo, das Display ist ein großer Rückschritt für mich.

Review: Grundsätzlich finde ich das Rad-Navi sehr gut. Hatte bereits den Bolt V2. Aber, das Navi verliert regelmäßig das GPS-Signal. Trotz freier Sicht auf den Himmel, keine Hindernisse, keine Häuser, etc. Sehr nervig, da das Signal auch nicht wiedergefunden wird. Es benötigt einen Neustart, danach sofort wieder einsatzbereit. Ich mutmaße eine nicht ausgereifte Firmware.
